Lead Mental Health Nurse Specialist

The successful candidate will have the skills and expertise to lead, manage and educate the nursing team, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing clinical practice improvements, staff education and quality initiatives.
The Lead Mental Health Nurse Specialist will be a key member of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. They will also be involved in mentoring and coaching junior staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
* Develop and implement clinical practice improvements, staff education and quality initiatives.
* Provide expert consultation services within the hospital.
* Mentor and coach junior staff members.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
* Degree in Nursing or related field.
* Experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a leadership or management role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
