Clinical/Senior Nurse Consultant required for Community Services Organization specialising in High Intensity Clinical Supports.
About the Role
McArthur Community Care is a trusted provider of disability and in-home support services across Australia. We are seeking an experienced Clinical/Senior Nurse Consultant to partner with our Queensland operations team 3 days per week and support our next phase of growth, service excellence, and innovation.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality clinical oversight and ensuring clients with disabilities receive tailored, evidence-based care that enables them to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualised health care and support plans, including reports for NDIS funding applications
* Provide expert clinical guidance to service coordinators and support teams
* Deliver evidence-based training and competency assessments for support workers, particularly for high-intensity care needs
* Monitor and ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and AHPRA requirements
* Manage incident reporting, risk identification, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Build strong relationships with clients, families, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and funding bodies
* Promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and person-centred care
* Contribute to the development and improvement of policies, procedures, and clinical frameworks
About You
* Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration
* Bachelor of Nursing (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' post-registration acute care experience
* Experience in community nursing, disability, or rehabilitation
* Strong understanding of NDIS standards and support planning
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management
* Confident using MS Office and CRM systems
