As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and cost-effective maintenance execution of heavy mobile equipment. This involves providing governance over our work management standards and departmental guidelines, driving long-term improvements in fleet performance and safe work execution.
This position supports and collaborates with department execution supervisors to align with departmental objectives, foster a safe and engaging workplace, and achieve mining fleet performance metrics in line with the mine plan.
We are undergoing a significant transformation towards becoming a global Green Energy and Iron Ore provider. This change requires us to adopt new technology and operational methods across all areas of our Mining operation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting front-line leaders, execution, and planning teams
* Providing support and assistance to department supervisors and leaders in meeting daily metrics
* Actively driving the elimination of live work and ITR initiatives
* Managing the mobilisation of service contractors
* Adapting to innovative technologies as part of our Green Fleet transition
* Ensuring that the site Fleet Management Strategy is adhered to
You will be responsible for managing a small team of OEM specialists and specialist labour, and will need to adapt to changing priorities and technologies. You will also provide a consistent link with our OEM's and vendors to ensure schedule adherence, cost control and prompt issue resolution.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for someone with trade qualification as an HD Fitter/Auto Electrician, proven experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance and overseeing Safe Maintenance Activities. Strong leadership experience is also required, as well as proficiency in Excel, SAP, Anaplan, and Word.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in work management and planning, but this is not essential as training can be provided on the job.
