**Key Responsibilities**
As a Support Worker at The Well & Co., you'll serve not just as a carer—but as a **mentor**, life coach, and ally. You will:
- Provide **community access support**, including transport to activities, appointments, and job readiness services
- Assist with **domestic tasks** such as meal prep, cleaning, and personal organisation
- Offer practical help with **routine building**, **time management**, and **confidence coaching**:
- Build trust and rapport through consistent, relationship-based support
- Work with participants who have autism, mental health needs, or are neurodiverse
- Encourage independence while offering dependable guidance
- Document and report on progress clearly, using digital tools and templates
We're looking for someone who does more than show up—you show care, initiative, and impact. You might be a youth worker, tradesperson, support worker, or coach ready to give back through meaningful one-on-one support.
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience mentoring or coaching young people or adults
- Have a background or interest in **trades, construction, or hands-on skills**:
- Are confident working with people who may not identify as having a disability
- Know how to build structure without pressure, and set healthy boundaries
- Are calm, emotionally mature, and values-led
- Are adaptable, resourceful, and outcome-focused
**Core Skills & Competencies**
- Autism support (Level 2 or higher)
- Understanding of mental health and psychosocial recovery
- Time and routine coaching
- Food safety and medication prompting
- Experience with mobility equipment (e.g., electric wheelchairs)
- Clear documentation and digital reporting (e.g., via apps or case notes)
**Essential Requirements**
- Cert III in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Youth Work or equivalent (or working toward)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transport
