Administrative Support Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support for running Australia's Icebreaker ship, the RSV Nuyina.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the ASRV Team with various administration duties, including taking meeting minutes, assisting with report preparation, and maintaining accurate records and systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing administrative support to the ASRV Team on a daily basis
* Maintaining the Vessel Security List as current and liaising with port security officials
* Administering the Learning Management System training records and assignments for shipboard inductions
* Assisting with record management for incidents and regulatory compliance
* Supporting seafarer onboarding, certifications management, and payroll processing
* Providing ad-hoc administrative support onboard the ship when in port
* Collaborating with colleagues to maintain operational records and reports
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new systems
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work demands
* The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
* Eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
