What you'll do
As a Supply Planning Specialist, your core objective is to ensure our customers find exactly what they need on our shelves. You will deliver high levels of stock availability through expert inventory management and seamless service from our Distribution Centres. You will proactively secure supply during shortages and identify internal and external efficiencies through strategic planning with our trade partners.
You will be accountable for:
* Building demand and supply forecasts through facilitation of alignment between Buying Teams, Sales Forecasting and Suppliers; including but not limited to seasonal and major events
* Effective use of Woolworths Distribution Centre inventory through monitoring of stock levels and leveraging network to generate actions to maintain appropriate stock levels to maximise availability to stores.
* Ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed of Supply Chain changes that may influence service, inventory and stores, Buying or Suppliers.
* Planning and execution of promotional activity appropriate for Suppliers while maintaining service and appropriate inventory.
* Forming a tailor made operating rhythm with appropriate stakeholders to ensure alignment on Buying, Sales planning and Suppliers plans to maximise service and Supply chain efficiency.
* Ensuring that regular Business planning/collaboration meetings are facilitated to keep appropriate stakeholders up to date with meaningful strategies to improve service, inventory or efficiency.
What you'll bring
You are a supply chain professional with a proactive mindset and a passion for retail efficiency. You thrive in collaborative environments and have a knack for turning complex data into clear supply strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Industry Expertise: Experience in FMCG, general retail, or replenishment planning.
* Technical Savvy: Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Google applications, with a working knowledge of supply planning software like JDA or SAP.
* Collaborative Leadership: A proven ability to work cross-functionally with Buying teams, Business Managers, and external Trade Partners.
* Strategic Planning: Demonstrated experience in managing seasonal peaks, major events, and weekly promotional operating rhythms.
