As a key member of the team, you will act as the primary liaison between local project teams, designers, and clients to ensure design intent, standards, and expectations are understood and met. Your expertise will be crucial in reviewing and providing technical oversight of deliverables, ensuring compliance with Australian codes and project-specific requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing design workflows, version control, and communication protocols to ensure efficiency and clarity across time zones. You will also facilitate regular coordination meetings and design reviews with offshore teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain design quality.
* Lead the coordination and delivery of geotechnical and tunnel design packages executed by the design team.
* Define clear scopes, deliverables, and deadlines for designers in alignment with project requirements and programme.
* Act as the primary liaison between local project teams, designers and client to ensure design intent, standards, and expectations are understood and met.
* Review and provide technical oversight of deliverables, ensuring compliance with Australian codes and project-specific requirements.
* Manage design workflows, version control, and communication protocols to ensure efficiency and clarity across time zones.
* Facilitate regular coordination meetings and design reviews with offshore teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain design quality.
Required Skills:
* Degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (postgraduate qualifications preferred)
* Chartered with a relevant professional institution.
* 8 years of experience in tunnelling.
* Demonstrated experience in underground infrastructure, ideally across both design and construction phases.
* Strong command of relevant design codes (e.g., Eurocodes, AS standards) and digital tools for analysis and modelling.
* A proactive mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Familiarity with trenchless technologies, NATM, or TBM-driven tunnels.
