I have an exciting contract opportunity for an experienced front-end technical lead to join one of our consulting clients. In this role, you will work on-site with a large Australian bank, helping to unifying multiple desktops for markets trading.
Role
Working directly with the client, you will be working across a program of work which has only just kicked off. The aim of this program of work is to help unify different desktops, integrating with different systems and then presenting to the users. This is all within the institutional arm of the bank for markets trading. You will be the primary contact with the client, helping to resolve any technical issues, designing new solutions, conducting hands-on coding, and ensuring the tea is delivering effectively applying modern work practices.
Requirements
* Extensive experience working in the finance sector, ideally some experience working as a consultant.
* Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, with modern frameworks (React, Vue, or others.)
* Strong understanding of testing, continuous integration, and code reviews.
* Strong communication skills are a must, with an ability to manage project teams and interacting with clients.
* Experience leading Agile teams.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead a project team across a large program of work within a leading Australian bank. There are some big scale-up opportunities, as the business is looking to expand the engineering operations here in Sydney.
