About the role
We are seeking an experienced Roofer to join our team at Bennett Plumbing and Gasfitting on a contract basis in Cann River, VIC. As a Roofer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and installation of roofing systems for our commercial clients. What you'll be doing
* Install new roofing materials, such as metal sheets
* Ensure all work meets relevant building codes and safety standards
* Collaborate with the wider construction team to coordinate project timelines and logistics
Provide on-site guidance and mentorship to junior team members
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Roofer in the building trades industry
* Strong technical knowledge of roofing materials, installation techniques, and repair methods
* Experience with metal sheet roofing materials is essential for this position
* Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
* Australian citizens only are eligible for this position
* Valid trade licence is required for this role
