GFG Temporary Assist is part of the GFG Consulting Business and provides short to medium term temporary support placements for Local Government Clients across WA through the WALGA Temporary Personnel Panel.

If you have prior work experience in Local Government Organisations (LGO's), have an adaptable and flexible attitude and can 'hit the ground running', then GFG Temporary Assist would love to discuss future opportunities with you.

Our current staff are qualified and experienced professionals in their specialised field and are either;

semi-retired looking for challenging short-term project/relief engagements;

have young family commitments, but seek engaging work to fill the time when children are at school;

have temporary work commitments but are still looking for other challenging engagements to fill the balance of their working week; or

just prefer the flexibility of temporary work placement assignments.

Whatever your situation, if you have the necessary skills, experience and some capacity to provide temporary support services to our valued Local Government Clients, we are keen to talk to you.


Current Opportunities – Metropolitan and Regional Local Councils

* Director Corporate Services
* Engineering Technical Officer (Engineering/Traffic)
* Active Transport Technical Officer
* Parks Technical/Landscape Officer
* Civil Engineering Design/CADD
* Governance/Procurement Officer
* Marketing/Communications Officer
* Finance/Senior Finance Officer
* Executive Assistant/Administration Officer

All placements are short to medium term and are casual in nature so hourly rates apply and will be commensurate with experience and role. Typically rates for the above roles range from $40 - $100 per hour plus superannuation, based on skills and experience.

Current GFG Internal Team Opportunity – Recruitment Specialist/Human Resources

We are currently seeking an experienced Recruitment Specialist/Human Resources Officer to assist the GFG Recruitment Team. If you have experience in recruitment, human resources, administration, with a strong attention to detail and ideally a background in local government, we are keen to talk to you.
