This EXCEEDING child care center is in the lower North Shore suburbs of Sydney in Artarmon where children are cared for in a home-like environment from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The centre is owned and operated by two Early Childhood teachers who work closely to inspire and lead educators in providing a high-quality curriculum, and a secure and stimulating environment for children and families.
Our service was one of the first in Australia to be assessed under the National Quality Framework as "Exceeding the National Quality Standard" across all seven quality areas. We maintain this "Exceeding" rating through reflection on our daily practice and continual improvement planning
The outdoor space is richly resourced with open-ended and natural materials where children are encouraged to experience all of the elements and broad learning opportunities that the outdoors provide. We regularly venture outside of the service on bush walks, and to engage with the local community.
**Your new role**
The successful applicant must be a confident and passionate Early Childcare Teacher with a desire to implement a program that promotes the success of all children.
We seek someone who will support the Centre in the creation of
meaningful connections among educators, Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor and families whilst adhering to and promoting adherence to relevant regulations.
The service has a fantastic natural outdoor space, so you will need to share their passion for inspiring children through the outdoor environment and ample resources.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Mentor a dedicated team of Educators to implement a high-quality and stimulating Education Program
- Be a role model both on and off the floor, demonstrating best practice in relation to programming, compliance and positive relationships with children
- Use a strong knowledge of the NQS, EYLF and stages of child development to drive and lead the Educational Program
- Promote an environment where children feel safe and secure
- Develop and maintain nurturing relationships with families and co-workers
- You will be allocated time in the office to support the Director/Nominated Supervisor on compliance tasks and Educational Leader duties
- Willingness to support innovation and change, keeping the centre up to date with latest practices
- Have input and help drive the Quality Improvement Plan and Self-Assessment Tool.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- An ACECQA assessed ECT qualification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience in a **Educational Leader role**:
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
