Opportunity
Are you passionate about road safety and helping others succeed? The Department of Transport & Major Infrastructure (DTMI) is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Driver Assessors at both Level 2 and Level 3 classifications.
About the Role
As a Driver Assessor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and competency of Western Australian drivers. You'll conduct practical driving assessments, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the development of safe driving practices across multiple Metropolitan WA licensing centres.
Your positive approach and excellent communication skills will be your greatest asset. You will assess the candidate's ability to meet the required standards of competency and provide comprehensive feedback in a compassionate and informative manner.
All candidates will be assessed against both levels (2 & 3) to identify their level of suitability.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 3: Current Motor Drivers Licence C class (manual) + HR and R class licence.
* Level 2: Current Motor Drivers Licence C class (manual) for at least 4 years; R class licence desirable.
* Applicants that hold both a C and R class licence are encouraged to apply for vacancies at Cannington, Butler, Kelmscott and Joondalup.
* A Class R licence is highly desirable for this pool.
Locations Available
* NORTH Region – Mirrabooka, Midland & City West
* GREATER NORTH Region – Butler & Joondalup
* GREATER SOUTH Region – Mandurah & Rockingham
* SOUTH Region – Cannington, Kelmscott & Success
Working Hours
Full‑time on rotating shifts, 7 days a week, between 7 am to 6 pm.
