Overview
An outstanding opportunity is available for a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join a supportive tertiary team in Tasmania. This accredited position is ideally suited to a Level 5 or 6 trainee looking to consolidate advanced obstetric and gynaecological skills while stepping into a role with genuine senior responsibility. This is a role that gives you the clinical exposure, autonomy, and mentorship needed to confidently transition into specialist practice.
The Opportunity
In this senior accredited training position, you will work across a broad and rewarding Obstetrics & Gynaecology caseload within a collaborative tertiary environment. You'll gain valuable senior‐level experience while continuing to refine your clinical, surgical, and leadership capabilities.
* Tertiary‐level antenatal and intrapartum care
* Labour ward leadership and complex case management
* Ultrasound experience
* General gynaecology
* Consolidation of surgical skills, including laparoscopic surgery
* Supervision and support of Registrars and Resident Medical Officers
* Teaching, training, and multidisciplinary collaboration
* 10 hours of protected training time per fortnight

About You
To be considered, you will need:
* Current AHPRA registration – essential
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Current Working with Children Registration, where applicable
* Ongoing compliance with professional registration requirements
Highly desirable:
* Successful completion of the RANZCOG examination
