Job Description
As a seasoned Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, internal and external staff, analysis, and debt management.
This role is a blend of strategic planning, team leadership, operational direction, and hands-on management. You will oversee reconciliations, produce monthly and year-end reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance, and be responsible for the full control and directorship of the credit assessment process.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with major client accounts, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
* Team Leadership: Set goals and KPIs for the team, mentor, and develop team members to ensure optimum performance.
* Operational Direction: Provide hands-on management and operational direction to the credit team.
* Reconciliations & Reporting: Oversee reconciliations and produce monthly and year-end reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Assessment: Full control and directorship of the credit assessment process - approval of limits etc.
* Collections: Discuss escalation of debt and referral and management of process with external parties.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience: Strong commercial credit background with previous Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager experience.
* Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Excel and other computer skills.
* Communication: Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with staff, internal divisions, and external customers.
* AICM Membership preferred.
