About the role
We are transforming, moving to a cloud first model, modernising and simplifying and you can be part of that! Join us to increase velocity of our multi-tenanted environments. You will directly contribute to uplifting our release cadence for projects across the bank. This is a strategically focused role responsible for assisting in defining and driving our Release and Non-Production Environment strategy, architecture, and tooling. You'll have an offshore & onshore response and release team reporting into you.
You will get the opportunity to work with the newest technologies, mentor others whilst also having access to learning and development platforms plus the opportunity to get certified in cloud technologies.

**In this role you'll get to**:
Provide operational support & leadership for direct reports ensuring SLAs, environment incident and problem management, environment request and provisioning are to a high standard whilst providing support to environment managers allocated to enterprise initiatives.
Provide input and governance of our enterprise environment strategy.
Develop and be the custodian for our enterprise environment framework, standards and processes.
Have ownership of the Bank's environment centric tools, including the relationship with the vendors and commercial processes. This can include: Environment tool licensing, environment tool software currency, and the architecture and design of the tools structure premises and on cloud
About you
You'll be a leader who has a strategic mindset and enjoys seeing your ideas implemented. You'll be passionate, someone who nurtures and grows a team, whilst challenging the status quo to get the best outcome for the business.
Previous experience will be beneficial with leading an offshore team and the commercial lens required for this set up.
Experience with of incident, change, environment and release management.
It will set you up for success if you have good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP etc, and Mainframe technologies.
Knowledge of DevOps, SDLC and CI/CD processes/tooling.
Knowledge of environment provisioning and tooling.
Understanding of ITIL v3.
Experience with tools like Confluence, Jira and scheduling tools.
Experience working with agile release cycles.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
