SAP HR/Payroll Functional Expert - Transformative Public Sector Role
Are you a highly experienced SAP HR/Payroll Functional Expert looking for a challenging and rewarding contract role within a large, public-sector technology environment?
Join our client's Corporate Enterprise Solutions team and contribute to maintaining and enhancing one of the largest integrated rostering and SAP payroll solutions in the public sector.
Key Role Responsibilities
You will report to the Project Manager and focus on maintaining and supporting the enterprise SAP HR/Payroll solution. Your key duties will include:
* Troubleshooting and Resolution: Expertly handle and resolve complex Trouble Tickets assigned to the Project.
* Design and Configuration: Perform design, configuration, and testing of the SAP system in accordance with rigorous information system standards.
* Documentation: Maintain and update system configuration changes, functional specifications, and procedures, ensuring compliance with departmental and government policies.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with Business End Users to resolve system problems in a timely manner and proactively recommend modifications for system effectiveness.
* Project Delivery: Provide expert advice on solution design, undertake quality reviews of deliverables, and offer critical support for the client's pay run operations.
* Out-of-Hours Work: Be prepared for occasional work outside standard hours, weekends, or public holidays to ensure successful project and service delivery.
We're Looking For Your Expertise
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with demonstrable experience and skills in the following areas:
* SAP HR/Payroll Mastery: Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills in core SAP HR modules, including:
* Organisational Management
* Payroll (Australian-based preferred)
* HR to Fi/Co integration
* Time Management (including CATS)
* Personnel Administration, ESS/MSS
* Configuration Experience: Extensive hands-on support and configuration experience with large-scale HR SAP Solutions (SAP ECC6-EHP8 and earlier versions years' experience is highly regarded.
* Technical Acumen: Proven ability to formulate, document, and implement functional specifications, including a sound understanding of systems integration and service-orientated architecture.
* Government/Legislation: Strong knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and award structures within a Government context.
* Integrated Solutions: Experience with integrated HR and Rostering Solutions, such as Workbrain, is a significant advantage.
* Communication: High-level written and verbal communication, consultation, and negotiation skills to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
