About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Project Manager who is hands‐on and has a portfolio of completed jobs in Queensland. The role involves managing multiple million‐dollar projects simultaneously, ensuring production schedules and costs stay on budget and minimizing contract variations. Project examples include, but are not limited to, shopping centre builds from scratch, refurbishments, extensions and fit‐outs. Projects are located in Townsville and surrounding suburbs.
Responsibilities
* Work with architects and planning team to ensure designs and working drawings are practical, design efficient and fit for purpose.
* Develop and assist with building budgets and development approvals.
* Assist and obtain building approvals.
* Scheduling of production and trades.
* Tender and let trade packages.
* Communicate successfully with major and minor tenants.
* Follow WPH&S regulations.
Skills and Experience
* Site‐based project management role – must operate onsite.
* Previous experience in the same role with a portfolio of completed projects in QLD.
* Strong knowledge of Queensland contract law and construction regulations.
* Proficiency in managing cost systems, claims and compliance documentation.
* High‐level negotiation and communication skills.
* Strong analytical and financial acumen.
* Adaptability and leadership under pressure.
* Current C‐class driver's licence.
