Outstanding senior executive leadership opportunity in healthcare Lead the future direction of Calvary's two hospital services in Hobart, including Tasmania's largest private hospital Located in Hobart, Tasmania The Position Calvary Health Care is a charitable Catholic not-for-profit organisation, delivering compassionate integrated, safe and high-quality care within health, aged care and community across Australia. Calvary Lenah Valley and St Johns hospitals, located in Hobart, provide a range of specialised health services across the two sites including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, cardiothoracic, gastroenterology, general surgery, urology, ENT, maternity and women's health, emergency department, oncology and palliative care and Hobart's only private rehabilitation unit. As a member of the senior executive team, and reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager, Lenah Valley and St Johns, will lead the delivery of Calvary's strategic intent, driving operational and financial performance of the Hobart services. The General Manager will lead the growth agenda and contribute to the continuous improvement of services to ensure the highest quality of patient care. With a continued focus on building high performing teams and a culture that fosters coaching and development, the General Manager will lead the executive and broader teams, aligned to the core values of Calvary: hospitality, healing, stewardship and respect. The incumbent will be an inspiring, engaging and visible leader, fostering relationships across the hospitals and within the broader external stakeholder environment. With a strong strategic approach to driving improved operational and clinical performance, the General Manager will be an experienced senior executive who has demonstrated the ability to manage financial growth and the development of high quality clinical services to meet the current and future needs of the community. Exposure to the development and management of public sector partnerships and contribution to master planning will be highly regarded. Relevant undergraduate and postgraduate tertiary qualifications will be essential, as will a strong commitment to the philosophy and mission of Calvary.
