Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the delivery of electrical vehicle infrastructure construction projects.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all site works, ensuring project delivery objectives are met while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.
* Monitor and manage contractors to ensure safe work practices in line with Australian Health & Safety and Environmental regulations.
* Inspect and monitor all aspects of construction work on a day-to-day basis.
* Escalate defects and non-conformances promptly.
* Ensure implementation of Project Plans, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Waste Management Plans in compliance with Australian requirements.
* Directly manage contractors on site to meet contracted obligations and quality, safety, and programme requirements.
* Keep detailed records of work progress, issues, and activities on-site.
* Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to produce progress reports and lookahead schedules.
* Monitor and control project changes and variations.
* Provide problem-solving and facilitation support when issues arise.
* Interface directly with clients to maintain excellent client relations.
Requirements
* Relevant experience in delivering electrical infrastructure construction projects.
* Hands-on experience interpreting drawings and standards.
* Strong knowledge of Australian Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, design and construction standards, and quality assurance.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., White Card, WHS qualifications).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Proactive, pragmatic, and solution-driven approach.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Desire to work in renewable energy and e-mobility sectors.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with electric vehicle charging infrastructure or similar.
* Experience delivering HV/LV networks in a hands-on capacity.
* Experience managing relationships with stakeholders.
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS).
* Project management experience.
* Commercial and contract management experience.
