Key Responsibilities
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial health of the organisation. You’ll lead the finance function, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage budgets & forecasts & drive financial performance.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow management
* Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly management accounts, company level reports, and annual statutory accounts
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
* Support strategic planning and business performance analysis
* Work closely with project teams to track job costs, manage WIP (work in progress), and ensure financial controls are in place
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, tax obligations, and financial standards
* Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
* Lead and develop a small finance team
About You
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Not essential but preferred)
* 3+ years experience in a similar finance leadership role, ideally within the construction or related sectors
* Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, and cash flow in a construction environment
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and partner with operational leaders
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Proficient in financial systems (e.g. Jobpac, Xero, Viewpoint, or similar ERP platforms)
