The hospital provides a broad range of services including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and maternity services, allied health, dialysis, medical imaging, pathology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, social work, speech pathology, orthopaedics, surgery, women's health, and virtual care. About The Role An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and customer-focused Telephonist Level 2 to join the team at Singleton Hospital. The Telephonist is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls in a busy hospital environment, operating the hospital switchboard, and coordinating emergency paging (including cardiac arrest, trauma alerts, and security requests). The role also includes clerical duties and providing a professional, courteous, and efficient service to patients, visitors, and staff. The switchboard is located at the Reception Desk within the Emergency Department and serves as the primary point of contact for the hospital. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with a 60-minute break. Roster: Participation in a 7-day roster covering a 24-hour service may be required.
