A bit about the role…
The role of the Florist Manager (Brisbane) is to manage and develop the Brisbane operations for Daily Blooms.
At Daily Blooms, we rely on our Florist Managers to guide, coach and mentor our Floristry Team to carefully craft hand tied bouquets of fresh, premium‑sourced blooms that change daily.
Reporting to the Regional Manager the Florist Manager (Brisbane) is responsible to lead by example in terms of conduct, attitude, work ethic and expertise; setting the standard for creating beautiful bouquets, in line with our recipes, to ensure DB delivers delight to every customer, every time. The Florist Manager aligns, motivates and drives the Floristry Team to achieve KPI's and performance objectives.
Supported by Daily Blooms Head Office, the Florist Manager (Brisbane) will be responsible for all aspects of the Brisbane operations including, but not limited to, managing supplier relationships, forecasting, buying, bouquet making, and logistics.
All Daily Blooms team members are responsible to demonstrate and uphold our core values and key purpose in all that they do.
The Role includes…
Floristry
Create hand tied bouquets and vase arrangements
Perform and oversee daily Floristry operations
Utilise superior product knowledge to assess quality and suitability of stock
Monitor flower and foliage stock levels
Monitor inventory levels of Floristry supplies
Monitor incoming order quantities and bouquet targets each day; create bouquets and allocate floristry duties to the team
Buying & Product Design
In conjunction with the Daily Blooms Regional Manager, undertake product design and development in line with strategic business goals and seasonal trends
Nurture collaborative relationships with key suppliers to source and secure supply of premium seasonal blooms from Brisbane wholesalers and flower markets
Leadership
Actively demonstrate the DB values and expected conduct, to create a harmonious work environment where team may thrive and flourish
Proactively and consistently mentor, coach, develop and train team members
Identify opportunities for learning and development throughout Floristry team, including succession planning
Undertake monthly performance reviews to foster positive team engagement, conduct and performance
In conjunction with the broader team, hire, train and develop florists and customer service staff members as the Brisbane operations require
Effectively manage workforce planning and rostering to ensure staffing levels are appropriate for seasonal needs of the business

Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Floristry
3 years experience in a high volume, fast paced Floristry role
3+ years in a leadership role, managing a team of at least 10
Leadership experience must be specifically within the floristry industry
Familiarity with online retail operations, beneficial
Skills & Knowledge
Strong technical floristry skills
Advanced knowledge of flower conditioning and care
Ability to create hand tied bouquets and vase arrangements, quickly and efficiently
Sound time management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong relationship building ability
Must be a self‑starter with determination to see tasks through to completion
Goal focussed, team player
Knowledge of rostering and experience adhering to labour targets
Physical Task Capabilities
Standing for extended periods
Using hand tools such as flower snips and strippers
Repeatedly stripping and cutting large volumes of flowers
Regularly lifting and carrying buckets (5kg – 20kg)
Standing & walking on uneven or slippery work surfaces
