Job Summary:
This position involves developing and maintaining learning and social inclusion responses of the campus, working collaboratively with all staff, and reporting to the principal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging learning and teaching programs for young people in the middle and secondary phase of secondary education.
* Developing and implementing inclusive learning programs that meet all legislative requirements with respect to young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
* Building learning programs that reflect the diversity within the classroom and designing learning experiences that cater for individuals with specific needs.
* Ensuring young people are provided with a learning program that maximizes their outcomes through the development of Individual Learning Plans for each young person.
Requirements:
1. Catholic Education: Understanding of and commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system of schools in the Edmund Rice tradition.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in working with young people disenfranchised from mainstream education.
3. Teaching Skills: Skills and knowledge in teaching processes, framework, and practice.
4. Driver's License: A current 'C' driver's license is required for local travel.
5. First Aid: Current First Aid or willingness to obtain.
6. Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and coach staff.
