The Role
This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of BOC-owned gas equipment / pipe at customer sites, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
What you will enjoy doing
* You will ensure a high customer service to internal and external customers
* Build and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and explore new opportunities
* In addition, work collaboratively with other departments including sales and operations to ensure business targets are met and take corrective actions where required
* You will conduct preventative maintenance in compliance to BOC and Australian standards while optimising costs and customer service
* Ensures assets are maintained tracked and stored appropriately, including ensuring availability and correct and timely completion of documentation
* Furthermore, ensure plant and equipment is fit for purpose e.g. serviced, guarded, risk assessed including the use of the BOC tagging system
* You will support the delivery of the cost budget including improvements required during the year and monitor and manage performance against KPIs
What makes you great
* You have working knowledge of Australian Standards, BOC Codes of Practice and other regulatory codes
* Experience in gas related or construction industry environment is required
* Ability to co-ordinate multiple work order requests, service requests simultaneously prioritising based on safety and customer service.
* Advanced mechanical skills (Mechanical Fitter or similar skill base) suit your profile
* You have the ability to run pipe work both copper and Stainless Steel to a high industry standard
* Ability to complete brazed pipe work, weld copper pipe work in various applications
* An extensive knowledge of cryogenic operation and associated equipment
* PSA maintenance (gaseous oxygen and nitrogen generation plants)
* The ability to work well in a team environment using superior communication and interpersonal skills
* You have either an LPG gas fitting or National Restricted Electrical licence would be advantageous but not a necessity
