- Configuration Management – Enforce configuration management across the LCSE and maintain version-controlled deployments.
- Patching & Compliance – Automate patching, compliance checks, and updates across supported environments.

- Reporting – Support LNIC reporting requirements, including monthly progress reports and quarterly contract reviews.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with Defence stakeholders, APS, contractors, and SMEs to support system integration.
- Field Support – Provide support during trials, exercises, and potential interstate or international deployments.

Deliverables

- Automated build and deployment solutions for deployable ICT nodes.
- Disaster recovery designs and documentation leveraging VMware.

- Expertise in Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Linux enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated experience with the VMware suite of datacentre products.
- Background in version-controlled infrastructure deployments.
- Proven ability to automate patching, compliance checks, and updates.

- Familiarity with Defence networks such as JP 2221-1 AUS MPE Network, EDLAN, or equivalent deployed networks.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and identity & access control.
- Understanding of standards including NIST, ISO 27001, ASD Essential Eight.
- Experience in cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
- Proven ability to work in disconnected or air-gapped environments.

Reporting Line

- Reports directly to the Information Systems Manager, LNIC.
