About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, this Financial Accountant position plays a key role in supporting financial operations, with a strong focus on month‐end and year‐end reporting, tax compliance and capital expenditure management.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial accounts, providing meaningful variance analysis and ensuring all financial processes are robust and compliant.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering month‐end and year‐end financial reporting within strict deadlines
* Preparing variance analysis across P&L, sales, COGS and expenses
* Managing and reconciling asset and occupancy accounts
* Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and audit requirements
* Capital expenditure monitoring
* Lease and property accounting
* Ensuring compliance with tax obligations, including BAS, FBT and income tax
* Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support
About You
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
* Strong experience with JDE or similar ERP systems
* Solid understanding of Australian tax obligations (income tax, FBT and GST/BAS)
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
