Project Manager – Engineering and Design
Reporting to the Head of Engineering Design, you will manage all aspects of engineering and design for the Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage project, including scope, budget, schedule, quality, procurement, resources, communications and risk.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and be accountable for the development of project documentation and package scopes in accordance with governance requirements.
* Ensure the development, update and implementation of the Project and Design Management Plans.
* Coordinate with Development and Construction teams to keep communication clear and well documented.
* Develop contract specifications, conduct tender evaluations and administer contracts with external design, engineering, construction and testing contractors.
* Ensure all projects comply with standards and policies on safety, environment, cultural heritage, purchasing and contract administration.
* Integrate workplace health and safety as a core part of overall project management.
* Represent the business professionally and ethically in dealings with employees, customers, contractors and suppliers, ensuring legal obligations are met.
* Proactively develop and maintain constructive working relationships with team members and key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful, you should have:
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering and Project Management or equivalent certification.
* 5+ years of experience developing structured project execution plans, including scheduling, resourcing and communication.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, managing risks and communicating changes.
* Experience with project management, financial management, and scheduling tools.
* Experience liaising with all levels of the business, community, government stakeholders and technical specialists.
* Client‐side project delivery experience from design through procurement, delivery, commissioning and handover.
* Experience in remote working environments and site‐based engineering works, including understanding corresponding design and engineering drawings.
Requirements
Additional requirements include:
* Attendance at Nambour and Imbil offices on a regular basis, and attendance at the Borumba project site as required, with some overnight stays.
