This is a highly collaborative and externally focused role that places you at the intersection of government, industry, and internal subject matter experts. You will be the driving force behind ensuring we are a trusted and respected contributor to policy and regulatory dialogue.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Building strong partnerships with peak industry bodies to coordinate and communicate our stance on major policy issues.
* Engaging with internal experts to develop high-quality submissions to government and regulators.
* Representing us in industry working groups and capturing outcomes to inform strategic alignment.
* Tracking policy developments and translating emerging legislative changes into actionable insights.
* Partnering with regulatory change leads to support internal readiness and cross-functional understanding.
* Contributing to broader Public Affairs initiatives that position us at the forefront of superannuation thought leadership.
About the Ideal Candidate
* At least 5 years' experience in public policy, corporate affairs, or related roles—ideally within superannuation, financial services, or government.
* In-depth knowledge of Australia's regulatory environment, including key frameworks and stakeholders such as SMC and ASFA.
* Proven ability to influence, engage, and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* A confident communicator with excellent writing skills and experience preparing briefing papers, submissions, and correspondence.
* Tertiary qualifications in public policy, political science, communications, or equivalent experience.
