We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Safety Advisor to join our Integrated Capital and Safety team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Senior Safety Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring OHS performance and recommending priorities and actions for improvement within APAM. You will ensure appropriate safety support is in place and coach Managers in effective safety management.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and monitor the APAC Safety Management Standard across APAM.
* Support the Senior Manager, Safety to ensure APAC responsibilities under Victorian and Commonwealth OHS legislation are fulfilled.
* Audit and assure the safety program for APAM across all Business Units.
* Provide safety leadership to the OHS Coordinators.
* Coach Managers in effective safety management.
* Recommend priorities and actions for improvement.
* Audit the APAM OHS program (internal and external).
* Compile safety data and statistics.
* Investigate incidents and near misses.
Requirements
* Experience in an OHS role in a high-risk environment.
* Ability to embed Safety in Design principles in project planning stages.
* Excellent knowledge of OHS legislation and regulations.
* Strong process management skills with a focus on safety processes.
* Understanding of project management conventions and frameworks.
* Advanced report writing skills and clear communication style.
