Endurance's Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead-silver projects.
Join Our Growing Team
We're seeking a Project Exploration Geologist to join our technical team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing near-mine, resource definition, and regional exploration programs across precious and base metal targets within the Edmund Basin. You'll support the delivery of high-quality exploration outcomes through the effective management of field activities, contractors, and technical datasets, while contributing to geological interpretation and target generation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Develop and manage exploration work programs in collaboration with the senior geologist, including target generation and drilling
* Plan and manage exploration field activities, including geological mapping, surface sampling, and drilling supervision
* Integrate and interpret geological, geophysical and geochemical datasets to generate exploration targets
* Complete high-quality core and RC logging, sampling, and processing in accordance with company standards
* Supervise and manage drilling contractors and other exploration service providers to ensure safe and efficient operations
* Assist with drill planning activities, including preparation and submission of Program of Works (PoW)
* Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of QA/QC procedures, including tracking, documentation, and laboratory audits
* Manage field data integrity and database quality, ensuring up-to-date records
* Produce technical geological interpretations from geological maps, drillhole cross-sections, geophysical and geochemical data
* Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on exploration activities and highlights
* Supervise contract personnel and contribute to the mentoring and development of junior staff
* Positively interact with traditional owners, local farmers and government authorities
What you'll bring
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Geology, Applied Geology or a similar field
* WA exploration experience (essential)
* Experience in planning and managing RC and Diamond exploration programs
* Competent in field mapping, sampling, logging and structural geology
* Experience in submission and coordination of PoW's
* Experience with geological modelling software including Micromine (essential), QGIS (essential) and Leapfrog (preferred)
* Strong knowledge in database and logging software including DataShed and Log Chief Lite
* Advanced computer literacy skills with strong Microsoft Office suite skills
* Good understanding of mineral systems, exploration targeting and 3D modelling techniques
* Sound understanding of QAQC, data management and validation processes
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
* Articulate written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working in precious and base metal systems desirable (e.g. SEDEX/VHMS/orogenic gold)
Essential requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Geology, Applied Geology or similar discipline
* Current 'C' Class Western Australian driver's license with 4X4 wheel drive competency
* Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
* Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
* Professional work ethic with commitment to promoting safety awareness
* First Aid training (preferred)
