We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Director / 2IC who values meaningful leadership, strong relationships, and high-quality practice. This is an opportunity for someone who loves mentoring educators, supporting families, and helping guide a positive and reflective team culture.
Working closely alongside our Centre Director, you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the service while helping lead pedagogy, curriculum, and team development across the centre.

About the Role
* Support the Centre Director with day-to-day operations and leadership
* Mentor and guide educators to build confidence, capability, and quality practice
* Support curriculum development and documentation practices aligned with the EYLF
* Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
* Encourage reflective practice and continuous improvement across the service
* Assist with compliance, programming support, rostering, and team development
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community
* Help create beautiful, engaging learning environments that evolve with children's interests and ideas
* Support the implementation of the National Quality Standards and centre Quality Improvement Plan
What We're Looking For
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
* Previous leadership experience within an early learning setting
* Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and QIP processes
* A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting educator growth
* Warm, thoughtful communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Current Blue Card
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
