Job Overview
Join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group as a Medical Typist and play a key role in supporting our specialist consultants through accurate and timely medical audio typing.
Based in our Consulting Suites, this role requires a detail-focused professional with strong typing and organisational skills, the ability to manage confidential information, and a polished, professional approach.
You'll be responsible for producing clinical correspondence with precision, ensuring clear communication between specialists and referring practitioners.
This is a fast-paced environment where your initiative, reliability, and communication skills will be valued as part of a committed and patient-focused team.
Important Notes
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience in providing medical audio typing services in a Specialist clinic, Hospital or similar environment
Knowledge of audio typing within best practice software
High level understanding of medical terminology
High level of accuracy and precision
Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Knowledge of health privacy principles
