Project Manager - Infrastructure - 12 month contract Your New Company You will be joining a large, complex public sector organisation responsible for operating and modernising a highly diverse digital infrastructure environment. This organisation manages critical cloud, data centre, network and security platforms that underpin essential services across the city. Their infrastructure estate spans hybrid cloud and on-prem environments, identity and cyber security platforms, observability tooling, disaster recovery capabilities and a wide range of physical assets, all supported by multi-year digital modernisation programs. Your New Role As Project Manager - Infrastructure, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a series of complex infrastructure and security modernisation initiatives within multi-year programs. You will be responsible for driving delivery outcomes across hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure, network and security upgrades, monitoring and observability uplift, supporting platforms and tools, and changes to operational ways of working. Working closely with Operational Technical Managers, Solution Architects, engineers and vendors, you will ensure delivery is aligned to approved architectures, standards and roadmaps, while achieving measurable improvements in resilience, risk reduction and operational maturity. What You'll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will bring strong experience delivering large-scale ICT infrastructure initiatives in complex environments. You will demonstrate: Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex infrastructure and security projects Hands-on delivery experience across network modernisation, infrastructure transformation and security uplift initiatives Strong understanding of network infrastructure, connectivity and supporting platforms Experience managing multi-stream delivery across legacy and modern technology landscapes Ability to work effectively with architects and engineers to translate designs into practical delivery plans Strong governance, reporting, risk and dependency management capability within structured frameworks (PRINCE2 and/or Agile) Proven vendor management and cross-functional leadership skills Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Information Technology or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Ability to meet security clearance and background checking requirements Experience working in large organisations, with public sector experience highly regarded What You'll Get in Return In return, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact infrastructure and security outcomes that improve resilience, visibility and risk posture across a critical digital environment.
