Middle Mile Network Expansion Program Manager, Amazon Transportation Services
Amazon Transportation Services is looking for a Middle Mile Network Expansion Program Manager to join our ATS Middle Mile Ground Brazil team. This high‐impact individual contributor position focuses on the governance, profitability, and strategic expansion of the Middle Mile network across Brazil. In this role, you will own the end‐to‐end governance of Middle Mile network expansion initiatives, ensuring efficient, optimized, and cost‐effective execution. You will act as the connective tissue between Network Design, Operations, Finance, and other interfacing teams—translating strategic expansion plans into structured, data‐driven decisions that protect profitability while enabling growth. Unlike execution‐focused roles, this position is analytical and cross‐functional. You will conduct deep‐dive analyses, coordinate multi‐stakeholder forums, and serve as the primary point of contact for decisions related to the launch and expansion of new Middle Mile routes. You will be expected to think big, challenge assumptions, and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.
Key job responsibilities
* Own the governance framework for Middle Mile network expansion, including intake processes, approval workflows, and change impact assessments for new route launches.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Network Design and Operations teams on decisions related to the launch and expansion of new Middle Mile routes.
* Coordinate and lead multi‐stakeholder meetings to review expansion proposals, assess cost implications, and drive alignment on prioritization.
* Maintain a structured pipeline of expansion initiatives, tracking status, dependencies, and key milestones across interfacing teams.
* Conduct analyses to evaluate the cost‐to‐serve impact of network expansion decisions, including route profitability, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
* Identify and drive cost reduction and optimization opportunities across the Middle Mile expansion portfolio.
* Write business cases and decision documents in support of new expansion initiatives, using data from multiple stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities for defect reduction, process simplification, and cost optimization across the expansion lifecycle.
* Develop and maintain dashboards and tracking mechanisms to provide visibility into expansion performance and cost outcomes.
* Benchmark Brazil's expansion practices against other Amazon geographies (e.g., India, Mexico) to identify best practices and accelerate adoption.
A day in the life
* Review the expansion intake pipeline and follow up on pending approvals with Network Design and Operations teams.
* Prepare and lead a weekly governance forum with cross‐functional stakeholders to discuss active expansion projects, cost implications, and blockers.
* Support a business case for a new route launch, incorporating data from Capacity Planning, Finance, and Operations.
* Analyze cost‐to‐serve data to identify optimization opportunities and prepare a summary for leadership review.
* Update the expansion tracker and communicate status to relevant stakeholders ahead of the weekly business review.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree.
* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL.
* Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
* Experience owning program strategy, managing end‐to‐end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
