A well-established, privately owned South Australian property group with a strong track record in delivering major developments is seeking an experienced Assistant Development Manager to assist the next stage of a commercial project in Mount Barker.
Following the successful delivery of a national large-format retail anchor in late 2025, the project is now entering a major vertical development phase that will play a key role in shaping the commercial heart of the Adelaide Hills growth corridor.
This is a rare opportunity to assist in the delivery of a landmark project from design development through to completion.
The Role
Working directly with the ownership group, you will be involved in the end-to-end delivery of a multi-use bulky goods development, assisting in:
* Design management and consultant coordination
* Planning and authority approvals
* Feasibility, budgeting and cost control
* Procurement strategy and head contractor engagement
* Programme and risk management
* Construction phase leadership
* Stakeholder and tenant interface
You will be part of the central point of coordination between the developer, builder, consultants and key external stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget and to a high quality standard.
About You
You are a commercially astute, outcomes-driven professional with a strong combination of development and construction expertise.
Experience:
* Proven track record in project delivery
* QS, PM, commercial builder or consultancy background
* Strong commercial and contractual capability Highly regarded:
o Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Property, Engineering, PM or similar
