About the position:
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating the transportation and delivery of finished products from our Eagle Farm facility to our Australian-based customers. This role will also provide support to our international shipping requirements.
To be successful in this role, strong attention to details, communication and organisational skills are essential including the ability to multi-task and the willingness to learn new skills and knowledge in Logistics.
Specific accountabilities include:
Plan and coordinate the transportation of finished products to ensure timely delivery to customers
Communicate with transport carriers and customers to resolve logistics-related issues
Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Implement process improvement to enhance logistics operations
Evaluate the performance of transport partners and freight forwarders
Maintain accurate records
Complete all tasks diligently and ensuring compliance with quality and legislative requirements
About the person required:
At least 2 years' experience in logistics or supply management
Certificate or Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred but not required
Knowledge of domestic transport regulations (NHVR and CoR) and preferably with background in international trade practices
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience – SAP and BSM preferred
Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Ability to take initiative and work to a deadline
Ability to self-manage and work independently to achieve team objectives
