The Role
Reporting to the Senior Accounts Payable Officer, the Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely bank reconciliations across a high volume of accounts, as well as managing credit card and accounts payable clearing processes. This position requires a strong eye for detail, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily, weekly, and monthly high-volume bank reconciliations across multiple business units
* Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and transaction discrepancies efficiently and accurately
* Oversee credit card reconciliations and related processes
* Maintain and reconcile accounts payable clearing accounts (e.g., Telstra, BP)
* Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance reconciliation processes
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
About You
* 2–5+ years' experience in a finance role, with a strong focus on reconciliations
* Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex bank reconciliations
* Proficient in ERP systems with advanced Excel skills
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
* Organised, deadline-driven, and able to juggle competing priorities
* Strong communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
