The Organisation

This organisation operates within a large and impactful network providing essential services across Southeast Queensland. The finance team provides services in a range of business administrative activities, providing advice and expertise in the areas of finance, technology solutions, property and building services, human resources, communications and engagement and government relations. It plays a crucial role in supporting operations through reliable financial systems, timely reporting, and excellent customer service. The Role

Reporting to the Senior Accounts Payable Officer, the Finance Officer will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely bank reconciliations across a high volume of accounts, as well as managing credit card and accounts payable clearing processes. This position requires a strong eye for detail, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage daily, weekly, and monthly high-volume bank reconciliations across multiple business units
* Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and transaction discrepancies efficiently and accurately
* Oversee credit card reconciliations and related processes
* Maintain and reconcile accounts payable clearing accounts (e.g., Telstra, BP)
* Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance reconciliation processes
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements

About You

* 2–5+ years' experience in a finance role, with a strong focus on reconciliations
* Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex bank reconciliations
* Proficient in ERP systems with advanced Excel skills
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
* Organised, deadline-driven, and able to juggle competing priorities
* Strong communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
