About The Role
This position is situated within the Property Team in the Corporate Services Unit with the operational work of the position based in Blacktown, NSW.
The Corporate Services Unit manages all financial, legal, compliance, risk, insurance, project management, property, fleet and information communication technology services for the organisation.
The Maintenance Officer will report to the Property Coordinator NSW and work with relevant District and House Managers daily.
The position will assist in the management of the ongoing maintenance of the MacKillop infrastructure located in the Metro Sydney, NSW and surrounding areas and is paying $33 per hour (plus super).
Primary Objectives
Maintenance: To effectively manage and action grounds, garden, and responsive maintenance requests daily (such as plastering, painting, carpentry, and other minor repairs) to ensure our properties are operational and to a good standard.
Contractors: To assist the property team and relevant District and House Managers with the management of external contractors as required.
Teamwork: To provide support to the Property Coordinator and District and House Managers in the effective maintenance of Mackillop infrastructure as required.
Properties: Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of residential and commercial properties located in Metro Sydney, NSW.
This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based in Blacktown, NSW within our Property Team/Corporate Services Program.
The position reports to the Property Coordinator NSW.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in maintenance and using equipment for maintaining and repairing rural grounds, structural and related facilities.
The operation and minor maintenance of a variety of hand and power tools and light equipment.
Basic principles and practices of resource management.
