Overview
SMAART Recruitment is partnered with a successful Australian-based manufacturing and product development company that creates interior acoustics and industrial products. They are seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Support Officer on an initial 12-month contract.
Please note: This is a part-time role on a 12-month maternity cover contract, Monday through Wednesday, with a late October 2025 start. The hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM and flexible. This role includes 1 day of work from home every fortnight.
Duties
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with contracts, EBAs, and industry awards.
- Maintain employee records, including leave liabilities, superannuation, and up-to-date personnel files.
- Coordinate HR administration such as inductions, salary reviews, and bonus scheme payments.
- Support workplace Health & Safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
About you
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing/supply chain.
- Demonstrated payroll experience; MYOB Acumatica is highly regarded.
- Robust attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- A team player who enjoys project ownership with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
