Learning Diversity Coordinator Role
The role of a Learning Diversity Coordinator is crucial in ensuring that every student has the opportunity to grow academically and spiritually. This position plays a vital part in Parade College’s commitment to inclusive education, aligning with the EREA Touchstones of Liberating Education and an Inclusive Community.
Key Responsibilities
* Identification and Support: Assist in identifying neurodiverse students, collaborate with key stakeholders, and facilitate referral and assessment procedures.
* Intervention and Teaching: Deliver targeted interventions, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation.
* Adjustment Design and Implementation: Collaborate with class teachers and relevant personnel to design, implement, monitor, and review adjustments as documented in Personalised Learning Plans.
* Staff Development and Parent Education: Contribute to staff professional development and parent education programs.
* Documentation and Reporting: Prepare documentation required under legislation, including pre-enrolment documents and assist in submissions for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
* Inclusive Learning Environment: Support the development of an inclusive learning environment.
* Disability Support: Assist in implementing programs and processes to support students with disabilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will be a suitably qualified and experienced teacher with specialist training and expertise in working with neurodivergent learners and students with disabilities. You must have excellent organisational skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and experience working independently and collaboratively with teams of teachers.
* Strong knowledge of teaching and learning processes, study skills, organisational skills, and evidence of delivering effective targeted interventions.
