We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Laws Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to maintaining a peaceful and safe environment for all residents and visitors by effectively administering and enforcing compliance with relevant State Legislation and Local Laws.
The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have the ability to communicate confidently and politely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include investigating legislative controls, gathering evidence, issuing infringements, and preparing reports that support the giving of evidence as a witness. The role also involves participating in rostered weekend shifts and regular weekend and after-hours work.
Required qualifications include a Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation or Local Government (Regulatory Services), or similar qualification, as well as a current Victorian Driver's Licence. A Right to Work in Australia and Employee Working with Children's Check are also mandatory.
