Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator Role
The Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery station maintains high standards of safety. This is an hourly paid role working on Night Shift, Monday to Friday 5pm to 1am.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with risk assessments as required and follow-up control measures to completion.
* Advise associates and managers on company procedures and legal requirements within the level of a Coordinator's knowledge.
* Monitor the delivery station for compliance with company safety procedures.
* Assist in the implementation of Regional WHS management programs at site level.
* Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish root cause and develop required action plans with relevant processes.
* Update internal records regarding incidents, near misses and accidents, Area Observations, Safety Inspections, pre-start records and 'Safety Saves'.
* Be involved in undertaking action plans to ensure continuing compliance with Legislation.
* Be able to maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations.
* Monitor Dock and Yard safety procedures to ensure compliance.
* Carry out WHS training sessions for managers and associates as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in a Safety related field or Cert IV in Safety.
* Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
* Knowledge of data analysis and logistics or similar industry would be advantageous.
