We're seeking skilled professionals across New South Wales and the ACT to become TRA Assessors for evaluating candidates' competency in aircraft inspection, maintenance, and certification. This role is about ensuring that applicants meet CASA Part 66 licensing requirements and uphold the highest aviation safety standards.
About the Role
As a TRA Assessor – Aviation Maintenance, you'll:
* Assess applicants' ability to inspect, maintain, and certify aircraft systems
* Evaluate knowledge of CASA Part 66 licensing requirements
* Ensure compliance with airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and safety regulations
* Contribute to maintaining world-class aviation safety standards
This is a flexible contract role that allows you to apply your aviation expertise in a meaningful and rewarding way.
Qualifications:
* CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence in relevant category (Avionics / Mechanical / Structures)
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or successor)
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years in Approved Maintenance Organisations (AMOs) or equivalent aviation maintenance environments
* Strong background in interpreting maintenance manuals, directives, and bulletins
* Proven skills in fault diagnosis, repair, and system/component testing
Mandatory:
* TRA approval for each occupation covered
* Current industry engagement evidence (e.g., licence renewal, ongoing aviation work)
* National Police Check
Preferred (not essential):
* Working With Children Check
* Valid Driver's Licence
