About the opportunity
As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Darlington Residential Aged Care home in Banora Point. The role is a permanent Full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday 7:30am -3:36pm.
Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be. Key duties include:
* Hands-on repairs and maintenance
* General maintenance; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves and designing garden layout
* Monitor stock levels of consumables and re-order where required
* Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner
* Participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
To be successful, you will have
* Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
* Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
* Current valid drivers' licence
* Evidence of Australian work rights
* NDIS workers Screen (or willing to obtain)
* Flu Vaccination (Recommended)
* A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
* Ability and willingness to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
