Kesser Torah College is a thriving, Modern Orthodox, co-educational Jewish Day School, situated in Dover Heights in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. With a growing enrolment of over 600 students and a dynamic staff team of more than 120, the College is committed to delivering academic excellence in an inclusive, nurturing environment underpinned by Jewish values and traditions.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced HSIE teacher to join our High School team from the beginning of Term 4, 2025. The ability to teach History or Geography is highly desirable. This is a full-time permanent position.
The Role
The Successful Applicant Will
* Be an enthusiastic and innovative educator with a strong knowledge of the NSW curriculum in HSIE subjects.
* Demonstrate excellence in classroom teaching and student engagement across Years 7–12.
* Differentiate curriculum and utilise effective teaching strategies to meet a range of student learning needs.
* Collaborate effectively within a supportive team environment.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the HSIE department and broader school community.
About You
You will possess:
* A recognised tertiary qualification in Secondary Education.
* NESA accreditation and a current NSW Working With Children Check.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching HSIE subjects, particularly History and/or Geography.
* A commitment to professional growth and reflective practice.
* Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* A willingness to support the Jewish and religious ethos of the College.
