The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environment and Quality functions across this organisation. Working in an industrial environment and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, embedding risk management and ensuring compliance is met. This position requires a hands‐on leader who is operationally engaged, visible in the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all Safety, Quality and Environment functions
* Embed risk management into operational processes across plant, equipment, contractors and workforce activities
* Develop and maintain integrated management systems aligned to legislative and accreditation requirements
* Oversee incident investigations, corrective actions and workers compensation claims management
* Lead internal and external audit programs and manage regulatory relationships (e.g. SafeWork, EPA and other authorities)
Skills and Experience
* Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety
* Senior leadership experience in a medium to large, multi‐site organisation - highly desirable
* Strong background in high‐risk, blue‐collar environments such as manufacturing, or heavy industry
* Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated safety and quality management systems
* Strong communicator able to influence at all levels of the business
* Operationally focused
