St Joseph's Nudgee College is seeking a passionate and skilled Drum Kit and Drumline Instructor to join our vibrant Performing Arts Department on a part-time, term-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to share your musical expertise, inspire young musicians, and contribute to a dynamic and growing Performing Arts program within one of Brisbane's most respected schools.
Working as part of the College's Music team and reporting to the Coordinator of Performance Music, you will:
Lead and conduct both Junior and Senior Drumlines
Provide individual and group Drum Kit tuition
Tutor and mentor Rock Bands (advantageous)
Prepare students for performances, exams, and school events
Foster student engagement and enthusiasm for percussion and performance
Support the broader instrumental and ensemble program within the College
You will have:
Relevant music qualifications and solid practical experience
Proven experience teaching in schools or youth music programs
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A student-centered, encouraging teaching approach
The ability to work collaboratively within a creative, high-performing team
and preferably have experience in tutoring and mentoring Rock Bands.
