Garment Technician (Activewear Fashion Brand)

As a Full-time or Part-time Garment Technician. You will be reporting to our off-shore Production Manager (based on-site), this role allows you to be part of making our mission a reality and providing the feel good factor to our global audience. You will also work closely with our fashion designers to produce commercially viable products while maintaining the quality standards set by the wider Sylvia P Group.

About your new role:
* Create and manage details tech packs with technical drawing and details plus spec sheet including measurements, fabric and trims information
* Develop Bill of Material for each style to ensure all components are itemised correctly
* Inspect, measure, fit and quality control of production samples, pre-production samples and bulk production with Model, Creative Director and Designers
* Communicate with manufacturer of any changes, approvals or updates after fitting
* Provide recommendations, feedback or alternatives to resolve potential measurement, fit or quality issues
* Ensure all garments include correct labelling and compliance details.
* Liaise with internal teams and off-shore suppliers to meet production timelines.
* Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure production runs to schedule
* Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and complete administrative work for product development to support both onshore and offshore production of Sylvia P Group brands.
What will you bring?
* Diploma in Fashion Design / Degree in Creative Industries or equivalent
* Experience working within the fashion industry in a similar role
* Ability to use Adobe Illustrator
* Accuracy when entering data such as Bill of Materials
* Knowledge of garment construction methods and technical procedures and processes
