Our Lifestyle Communities Division plays a key role in this mission, managing Corporate Sales and Marketing, three lifestyle communities in Lake Macquarie, new development projects, and Maintenance Services across these vibrant sites.
We are currently seeking a motivated, hands-on all-rounder to join our Cooranbong Maintenance team — someone who leads by example, takes initiative, and takes pride in keeping our environments safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
For them - Here is how you will contribute:
The Maintenance All-Rounder supports the upkeep and functionality of Avondale Care's Aged Care Cooranbong facilities (Avondale House and Alton Lodge), ensuring buildings are operational and safe. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Procurement Coordinator, this role assists with stock movements, stores inventory, maintenance of the facility's equipment while fostering a welcoming and secure environment for all.
With you - Here is what you will need:
* Experience in handyman/trade/maintenance work/ property maintenance and building works. Trade background/qualifications preferred, but not essential.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* A service, solution, and preventative approach with strong customer service skills
* Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and asset management / stores/ordering systems.
* Demonstrated ability to safely operate power tools and grounds maintenance equipment
* Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
* Demonstrated skills and experience in:
o Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, and staff
o Ability to solve problems independently
o Following instructions and procedures
o Coping with pressures and setbacks
o Creating and innovating
o Timely reporting on any areas of concern
* Demonstrated commitment to a positive organisational culture and ASL's signature behaviours of Achievement, Performance, Connection and Wellbeing.
