About the Role
Cleanaway is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Operations Supervisor to oversee daily waste collection activities. This on-site role is essential in ensuring service reliability, operational compliance, and the effective management of our frontline workforce.
Additionally, the role involves:
* Overseeing daily operations including rostering, route planning, and driver performance
* Leading pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Conducting compliance audits for fatigue, mass, and speed
* Providing on-the-ground support, direction, and coaching to drivers
* Managing operational issues promptly to maintain service continuity
* Ensuring all activities meet environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous supervisory experience in an operational environment. Previous Waste Operations experience is not required as our onboarding process involves and in-depth introduction to the industry.
* Strong people management and customer service leadership
* Ability to manage daily operational demands in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making capability
